The Rusty Pelican story...
More than a decade of bringing high-quality Mexican food to Khao Lak (and the World!)
Founded in 2007, the World Famous Rusty Pelican in Khuekkhak, Thailand, began as a beachside eatery, serving California-Mexican dishes that captured the hearts of both locals and tourists.
Under its original owner’s vision, the restaurant became renowned for its vibrant flavors, from zesty salsas to hearty burritos, all crafted with fresh ingredients.
In 2015, to accommodate growing demand, we relocated from the sandy shores to our current, more spacious location in the heart of Khuekkhak. While the setting changed, our commitment to the time-honored recipes that made us famous remains unwavering.
Today, under new ownership, we continue to honor that legacy, dishing up the same mouthwatering tacos, fajitas and burritos that have defined us for nearly two decades. Our team sources local, organic ingredients to keep every bite fresh and flavorful, staying true to our roots as a community staple.
